  • Device UDID: Used solely for the purpose of identifying your subscription and authenticating your connection to our VPN servers.
  • Usage Data: We collect aggregated, non-identifiable statistics through Firebase Analytics (e.g., app version, session duration, most used features) to improve app stability.
  • Advertising ID: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your Advertising ID to provide personalized ads. This is governed by Google’s own privacy policies.

4. Android Permissions

Aura VPN requires certain permissions to function correctly:

  • BIND_VPN_SERVICE: Required to establish the secure VPN tunnel using the WireGuard protocol.
  • INTERNET: Required to communicate with our backend and provide the VPN service.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Used to maintain the VPN connection even when the app is in the background.

  • Google Play Services: For app distribution and core functionality.
